I thought Warframe was free? Been awhile since I looked at it.

Haven't read the full article yet, but maybe it'll give me some ideas.

The game is free, but that doesn't stop people from spending money on DLC packs. If there are in-game purchases, Steam will also be getting a cut on those as well. It all adds up.

Sure, I guess I was focusing too much on "best selling" versus top revenue generating or most new players or something.

Sims 4 isn't sold on Steam.

Which is not obvious, I just happen to know because my daughter asked for both at some point in time and I had to buy Sims 4 on Origin (I think it was).

I'm a little bummed that BattleTech didn't get into the upper ranks. I want more of that kind of game, and it needs to sell well to fund development.

No doubt. I want a Pacific Rim style mod or DLC or sequel.
Fighting other Mechs is cool and all, but some Mech vs Kaiju action would be phenomenal
