Where did you pre-order Half-Life 2?
I thought this would be interesting to find out.
[Oh, for the whining bastard TiLT who's pissed that the option "I haven't pre-ordered yet, and haven't decided where I will pre-order" is missing: it's only a couple of weeks to go! MAKE UP YOUR MIND! ]

Pre-ordered this bad boy almost exactly one year ago, today. 10/30/03 to be exact. Been carrying around the stupid friggin' receipt in my wallet for all that time, too. About the only thing you can still read on it is the game title, date, and store. Good enough tho, I guess.

I haven't pre-ordered, but not on principle or anything. Most of the games I've really been looking for have had less-than-flattering receptions (Doom3, Thief3, Deus Ex IW) so I've been making a point to not buy stuff in advance if I think I may be disappointed. This is especially true for sequels to games I was especially fond of, as I'd prefer to preserve the memory of the original than have it sullied by a bad sequel.

Oh but dear Warning, read the question again:
Where have you, or where WILL you pre-order Half-Life 2?
As you seem to want the Steam Silver package you should've chosen that option!

I don't think you can have a poll where you can choose multiple options, sadly. Why not pick the one you pre-ordered first?

anyways, what about the 'I preordered at a B&M but am going to probably switch over that over to Halo 2 and get the Silver version off of steam' option?

Funny to see that Vivendi might have had a point in not being to happy about Valve selling Half-Life 2 directly to customers. Sure, the game will still sell by the truckloads in regular stores, but it seems like a lot of the more "hardcore" fans are ordering through steam.
