RTW - Grand Campaign

When does the campaign end? I know it ends when someone controls the senate and at least 50 provinces, but is there also a certain date when it ends?

I've never had a long campaign go past 100 BC... maybe not even that far. There's plenty of time to win, at least up to hard/hard difficulty (haven't tried VH/VH).

Its easy to finish the victory objectives well before the year the game ends. However you can move on and conquer the rest of the world after you complete the long campaign victory objectives. Although at my pace now I should also complete that task well before the supposed time the game goes up to.
