Does anyone know how to use the manned turret in Iron Bear when play in SP? There is a note that says you can, but I can't figure out what that means or how to get into it.

You need the Auto Bear skill in conjunction with the turret. That lets you hop out, run around, and man the turret.

Ack, I thought I already had that. It's not where I thought it was.

I haven't looked recently, but I know I have 1000+ hours in BL2. BL1 shows about 250 hours, but that's on the GOTY version. I'm sure I logged a lot of time when it came out that I don't think is captured in that.

Oh, and just to clarify, I don't respec because I have to. I respec because I want to. If something drops that looks like it would be fun to try with a different build, I respec to give it a whirl. Like using the slippery SMG from Tiny Tina's with the shock tree for the ... Mechromancer? For some reason I always want that build to be for Lilth, but I'm usually wrong. Or trying to get a rocket launcher build (man that was fun with Brick in BL1) working.

I'll also do it if I just feel like a change of pace, switching a character from a pistolero to a sniper, or a close-range killer to a ranged support character.

;)

If you're interested, this was the Moze build I used. It allowed almost endless fire with regenerating ammo that made reloads rare and twin-chaingun Iron Bear with maximum uptime.

I got one and it's good, but I think I prefer the Firestorm or Monocle. I like the fire burst you get from Firestorm more than the volcano. I'm playing Moze.

Also, I'm up to Level 5 in Science. It's really a good feeling to tie or beat the high score.

When I snipe, I normally carry three:

A Storm for hitting groups, Guardians, or shielded enemies.
A Lyuda for badasses and bosses.
A *whatever* for actual sniping, usually chosen on base damage/accuracy/mag size and any bonuses (the Monocle for instance, has crappy stats but great bonuses, especially for a build that benefits from crits.) I don't pay much attention to this one.

For the fourth weapon I carry something that's good for crowds. For my Fl4k that's usually a Hellshock if I can find one at my level. Hellshocks are great. They switch between Shock and Incendiary, but the shots ricochet and switch elements. I leave it on Incendiary. If I get a shielded enemy I just shoot the ground at his feet for a second (the rounds ricochet up into him, becoming shock to drop his shields) the raise it up to roast him.

I have begun running in to a particular mob, I think it's called a Looter Fanatic, or something like that. It's got a ton of health and after a short time it will summon a purple void in the air and disappear, so sort of like a loot Goblin in D3. My question is, is it worth killing these? They seem to drop a ton of cash when you shoot them and they are running around but killing them takes way too much ammo and so far I have only received grey drops.

Observation; I think I killed Rick and Morty last night. :)

Good lord I hate the jumping puzzles! I spent a good 25 or more minutes jumping on to the top of a lamp post last night, round and round and round. Not fun!

If those are the same as Loot Tinks and Thieving Jabbers, they should drop a lot more than grey items. They drop multiple legendaries and plenty of all the other colors. And loads of cash, especially with the double cash buff on. They drop a backpack which you need to open and it disappears somewhat quickly.

Today's hotfixes.
Today we will release a hotfix for Borderlands 3, which will be live on all platforms by 12:00 PM PST. In this week’s hotfixes we have two new mini-events: Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught and Making it Rain! To apply hotfixes, wait at the main menu until you see a sign that says “Hotfixes Applied”! If you are experiencing any issues or want to provide feedback, please submit a ticket to support.2k.com.

Rare Chest Riches and Loot Monster Mayhem mini-events end at 9:00 AM PST today.

The Co-Op Loot Drop event is continuing until April 30!

This week, we have two new mini-events: Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught and Making It Rain! Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught will increase the number of dedicated loot drops from Slaughter bosses. The Making It Rain event will increase the in-game currency Cash drops for normal, Badass, and Anointed enemies, which will come in handy when you’re fighting the Cartels in this month’s upcoming patch. These events will go live with the hotfix today and will end on April 23 at 9:00 AM PT.

There are no balance adjustments this week. We wanted to take this time to let the dust settle after the balance adjustments that were made over the previous weeks and are continuing to monitor and collect feedback based on those changes.
  • Activate Mr. Torgue’s Slaughter Onslaught mini-event until 9:00 AM PT on April 23
  • Activate Making It Rain mini-event until 9:00 AM PT on April 23
  • Addressed a reported concern that Phasegrasp was not supported on Nekrotafeyo
  • Added gameplay tags for impending Mayhem 2.0 release
I never thought I'd say it, but I'm not going to miss the Loot Tink's and Chubby Skrags.

The Boomerang XL is a very nice gun. It made very quick work of Troy (so much so that I wonder if it wasn't somewhat unfair).

I'm really liking the story too. Can't wait to see what's next.

I'm up to Level 46 on my first playthrough of Moze and I'm still not done with 80 hours played. I haven't even used my last 6 skill points to keep things fair with the guys I'm going up against. I tried one of the proving grounds - should have been used them before trying that. I made it, but missed a bunch of the secondary objectives.

46 and still on your first run? Here's a tip, and it is the same as it was for BL2: If you start to outlevel the main quest on your first playthrough, stop doing side quests and just focus on the story until they catch up. All of the side quests will be there on the second playthrough where experience comes slower and where you have Mayhem levels to boost the difficulty if needed (I generally use Mayhem II on my second run.)

Yes, don't do any side quests on the first play through and you'll be somewhere between level 36 and 40. Then as Blackhawk says, switch to TVHM and some level of Mayhem (I am also rolling with Mayhem Level 2) for more XP and better loot.

That's always been a flaw of the Borderlands series. It's really balanced best for the second playthrough, and trying to have the whole experience on the first tends to result in being way overpowered, but pushing through and trying to experience the setting and story in all its glory in the second playthrough tends to water down the experience.

My own method these days is to focus just on the main story on the first run. I try to experience it all in its fresh glory. Then my second playthrough is the one where I try to get lost in the world, find extra goodies, hit all the side stories. The main story is weaker, as I know how it unfolds, but the world is still fresh, as is the side content. It's not perfect, and it certainly isn't the only right way.

My way is to do it all on the first run then never play it again :) Just not made for 2nd plays to me. But other than the Pre sequel which I tried to finish many times and never did I always played the others co op online and finished them never to return.

Moze has saved the galaxy after 85 hours and at Level 48! I watched all the credits. There were A LOT...pretty sure it took 25 minutes to go through them all. Now back to Sanctuary to pilfer.

Well then...

For the first time I didn't mind too much. I liked reading the personal thanks part and thought the music was good. I would have liked to have scrolled a bit faster through all of Take-Two's worldwide offices though.

I got to TVHM. I'm a little bummed that all the maps are already explored. Also, was the idea with the Eridian writings that you would read them as you found them on your second playthrough? Because I ran back through every zone as soon as I got the ability to read them.

How does Mayhem work? I set it to Level 2, but it doesn't look like it applies yet in TVHM.

I started a new game with Fl4k. Up to Level 6 and he seems fun. I have to remember to use his special ability more often.
