Wish these were boxed like that for PC. Seems to be missing Icewind Dale II though.

Beamdog hasn't done an enhanced edition for Icewind Dale II.
Time and tide melt the snowman.

There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream, people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. Come on, Ace, we've got work to do.

The source code for Icewind Dale II has been lost, so they can’t really do anything with it.

Ive heard 'source code' all my years but I dont know the difference in it and the first released version. Cant they just take an original copy and run from there?

What is on the media is usually compiled code, not source code. Companies don't distribute source code for obvious reasons.

Those things are going to be way too expensive.

Pretty sure I have all the original boxes/docs for all those games. Will help me fight the urge.

To translate the answer, the source code is the typed-in level programming that the game is made from. That is turned into the actual game through a process that isn't usually reversible. If you don't have it, you can't recreate it.

The reason they don't share that is that it gives away all of the secrets, allows removal of copy protection, and so forth. You keep the source code secret.

I bounced off of all these games cept for NWN. I'd go for NWN if and only if user campaigns can be run. If not then not.
