I picked up EDF 4 on a whim after seeing some gameplay footage back when it came out and fell in love with it's over the top anime quirkiness, and EDF 5 is everything 4 was, but better and more polished. Still has it's share of goofy UI elements and mechanics, but overall a much smoother experience than EDF4.
Anyone interested in trying to get some OO EDF games going sometime? I tend to just play solo, but there are a bunch of missions that would be a lot more fun with a good team.

Which system?
The latest one I've got is EDF 2017 on the XBox 360, I honestly haven't been keeping up. But I do love me some EDF. Where else can you shoot bugs, robots and spaceships in the same game?

Huh. I'll take a look. I'm pretty sure I'm about to blow my yearly gaming budget on battletech miniatures, but EDF sounds tempting.
