Total War Saga: Troy
This is coming out this week: set in bronze age Greece during the Trojan War.
Early gameplay I've seen looks pretty good, but they've also announced it's free on Epic store for the first 24 hours for anyone that doesn't mind getting it there.

Thanks for the reminder! Definitely picking it up for free while I can -- and playing it eventually.

And yet it's not yet available. I guess I'll go to bed.
So that would be 8 am CST.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Today I learned that BST is British Summer Time.
The only thing I expect less than the Spanish Inquisition is for the British to go their own way on anything.

Just a heads up, if the Epic Games Store looks like this...
...then you should still be able to get the game by going to the Home page and clicking the "Claim Now" link.

I have no particular interest in this game, but for free? Sure, why not.

Started as Menelaus of Sparta because Sparta and enjoying it so far. Plays much more similar to a standard Total War game than Thrones of Britannia did. Main different features are multiple resources needed to build units/buildings, plus a mechanic for worshiping the gods and getting favor.

Mechanic for worshipping gods, you say?

Took me a second. Haven't seen that movie since we snuck into it as kids.

I enjoyed Elisabeth Shue and her little dance during the opening credits. Very cute.

Not too surprising if it was free. Approximately 1% of that figure will play for more than half an hour.
I no longer post here.

My thoughts as well. Wonder how many people signed up for the Epic Game Store just to get this free game.

I'm skeptical that this game will run acceptably on my main computer (an aging Surface Pro 3), but since it was free figured I would grab it and see.

Re: Total War Saga: Troy
I actually kinda doubt I’ll even install it. On a really rainy day at some point, maybe.
But hey...free.
