Steam chat from OO members

Hello, a fellow OO person messaged me for a "favor".

Turned out their account got hacked. I'm posting this as a warning as this went around Qt3 too so please becareful. Don't click on anything that links to outside Steam from anyone including people you might know.

Check the My Steam Account was Phished thread in ebg for more info. Bet it was Jag or Koz that contacted you?..thats not really the real Jag..he got hijacked too.

Literally 20 mins after posting this, I got a Steam chat message from an OO member who hasn't logged on here since 2019. Now I feel included, thank you.

I pretty much always stay invisible (mostly because I don't want to accidentally ignore a message, and I'm not actively playing anything multiplayer with anyone on my friends list), and I haven't gotten any messages.

I got the same thing and posted in the other thread.

I also 1) made sure I don't have a CC or payment method associated to my Steam account (I have 2 factor, but just wanted some added protection). And, 2) logged out of chat so that I won't have it flashing, annoying me, and possibly enticing me with living on the EDGE!

His reply is apparently something like "f you."

Wow. I think maybe the scammer is getting tired of getting BS responses. Good.

It boggles my mind that they get mad at you for not falling for their scam. Or maybe they didn't like being called out as Russian.
