I've been trying to play this game since downloading it for free off of PS+. Managed to create a character and took him to state championships and chose UCLA for college. The problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time. I can't seem to pass when I want to - sometimes the ball carrier just dribbles when I try to tap a button then move the joystick to indicate the person to pass to. Then it ends with me frantically pressing buttons so I don't go into 3 second violation.

I think most of my problem is with passing as I have shooting down reasonably well. Anyone have any tips? Also, is there a way to practice passing and executing plays?

I haven't had any trouble actually passing the ball with my player (other than it often passing it to the wrong person), but in the MyPlayer mode you can't tell other players win to pass the ball. You can ask for a pass, but the AI ignores if half the time.
