I've been playing this game with my daughter (almost 13) and it's been a really enjoyable experience. It's like a blend of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus...except the Colossus is a 40 ft. tall cat/bird that's being helped by a little boy.
I've read a lot of negative press about the game (i.e. controls/camera/performance), but I'm not really seeing anything that would make me shelve the game. Granted, it's been patched since release, so maybe those are "old" reviews.
