[Switch] Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition

Post by stessier »

Has anyone played Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition (or any edition really)? I'm trying to understand the type of game it is to figure out if the kids would enjoy it. The videos I've found have not been enlightening, although it is well reviewed.

It's the same as any Dynasty Warriors game, if you've ever seen those. How old are the kids? The content should be fine, but IIRC the game can be a bit challenging. Button mashing will work fine for the fighting, but the kids need to be able to read the map (and read words on the screen) and know where the best place to be fighting on the battlefield is at any given time.

They are 9 and 12. Never played Dynasty Warriors, but gives me another title to look up for reference. Thanks!

I can chime in! Hyrule Warriors is chaotic and fun, with a LOT of content. I played it like hell all summer long and had a great time. Easy to learn, too.
