Luke had to kill the Knights of Ren who turned on him, but couldn't bring himself to kill his nephew. Thus the exile.

TFA says that Luke went looking for the 1st Jedi temple or something like that. I wonder if he lost his connection to Yoda & Ben.

Supplemental information about the Knights of Ren indicate that they were not trained by Luke.

Nifty. I just figured they were Jedi students corrupted by the dark side and led by Kylo.

Ahh, the goth kids skipping levitation 101 class to smoke deathsticks behind the temple.

So either the last jedi is female, or there are multiples.

Or it's just a translation fluke

Die Rückkehr der Jedi-Ritter (Originaltitel: Return of the Jedi)

The French title is:

Les derniers Jedi

So clearly denoting multiple Jedi....

Spanish and Italian titles confirm the plural as well.

I mean, that was the only plausible expectation (plural), but it's good to have it confirmed.

Its just been confirmed by the Disney folk that The Last Jedi is plural...as in Jedi's..so more than one after all.

So that German thing above was right all along.

Couldn't the noun Jedi just be a feminine noun?]

Bryce Dallas Howard and I think Billie Piper was the one at the end of the coach with the drink?

The others looked familiar, but I couldn't place them.

Rogue One was a great movie, no question, but these trailers are the ones that still give me chills.

Been pushing this one aside trying to be patient but now December can't get here fast enough.

That's some scary use of black and red in the poster and at the end of the trailer.

Gonna have to watch Force Awakens a few times to tide me over.

I saw a video onlline the other day that said that the Empire had over 25,000 star destroyers in its navy around the time of RotJ. I believe I had asked the question about what happened to the Empire after Palpatine's death and the answer was that the snake died when its head was cut off. Have any of the books said what happened to all of these star destroyers? Are they all sitting on various planets being used for scrap?
