I've tried naan, which is Indian/Pakistani flat "bread", even the kind with lamb fillings. It was actually quite good. Though I don't often have time to go down there. Don't know if it counts as "fast food". :)

Made another set of burritos today. I should have ordered bigger tortillas. I have one of those "deli-sliced" stuff I can get from supermarket (or Prime Now) and I divided one package into two portions, put one portion on tortilla, add chipotle mayo, and half of a fried egg. Minimal carb, plenty of protein. Probably should add some cabbage or greens, but I don't think my salad greens are suitable for a burrito... Should have probably separated the meat into 3 portions, instead of 2. But I'm figuring this out as I go. First time, didn't put enough mayo, ended up too dry (didn't help that it was turkey). This time, had roast beef and doubled the amount of mayo. Heated up the tortilla in a plate, THEN put the ingredients in there, reheated it a little, then rolled it up and let it cool to hold its shape, sorta.

I would have ordered burritos more often if they are more accessible. Where I go for work, burritos are not always accessible.

We had a JJ's here in our town square. It lasted about a year. I tried it once, when they were giving away freebies, and rated it one notch above Subway, which is the lowest-level sub shop (IMO). I was only sad to see it fail because I couldn't boycott it anymore (JJ is a notorious big game trophy hunter...if you care about such things, don't give this man money, and if you don't care, you just made an elephant cry).
He sold his remaining stake in the company a couple of weeks ago.

I avoid it for the mediocre, overpriced product but boycotting over moral outrage is an even better reason! Wife wouldn't care...whenever we see wildlife the first thing out of her mouth is "can it be eaten?"

Thirty-six years after founding his eponymous sandwich chain in a converted garage in Charleston, Illinois, Jimmy John’s founder Jimmy John Liautaud is selling his remaining stake in the company to Inspire Brands for an undisclosed amount.

Now, Inspire will take full control of the sandwich empire, adding to its list of well-known restaurant brands that includes Arby’s, Sonic, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Beyond its ownership of Inspire, Roark Capital also holds a number of other restaurant chains in its portfolio through investments in CKE Restaurants and FOCUS Brands, including Carl’s Jr, Hardee’s, Jamba Juice, and Cinnabon.

I actually really like the Jimmy John's Frenchie. Salami and capicola, provolone and salted butter on a baguette.

The quality seems to be better and it's a nice size for lunch, not too big and not too small. It's a limited time item so it'll probably disappear soon.

I think so, but they're both on the high price side and lack coupons unless there's a store opening. I actually like Subway's BLM, and they have coupons pretty often along with surveys for a free cookie. Every once in a while I'll get a tuna at Subway too, they do a good job loading on the tuna salad.

I shall remove it from my boycott list -- not that it matters, with no local outlets, but one does like to stay current.

The firm claims that its name is not meant to connote any particular political philosophy but instead signify the firm's admiration for the iconoclastic qualities of independence and self-assurance embodied by the central figure in The Fountainhead.

For subs, I prefer Firehouse or Blimpies. Jersey Mike's was meh when I tried one.
For Mexican, I usually go to a local place like Fritanga's or Taco El Metate
For fried chicken - Popeye's
I don't do fast food burgers. I may go fast casual like Fat Burger
My nephew, Jake - "I mean is there really anything more pure? Than sweet zombie monkey love?"

Either Chick-Fil-A or a NC BBQ fast food chain called Smithfields. Great eastern NC style BBQ for a fast food place.

For sandwich shops I prefer Erberts & Gerberts. Outside of areas of most OO's and definitely not for value seekers as a sandwich, chips, and a drink is going to come out to $10+.

i tried that place last time i was in MN - my son said he loved this chain, so we went there. i don't have any other words to describe their food other than 'bland'.

In SF Bay Area... no chain I'd really recommend, except MAYBE In and Out. Well, *maybe* Boston Market, but I don't go by it that often.

Back in Texas I kinda grew up on Grandy's. Though it's apparently only in the South.

Does that mean every time you order something you have to wait through a 90 page speech. No wait. That was John Galt. Roark was just a an artist who never stopped smoking cigarettes while everyone else gave 40 page speeches about government ruining Roark's life as demonstrated by an evil art critic using his art critic influence pedaling to pull strings in the highest levels of government office to enforce socialist ubiquity. I might be wrong. It's been, holy crap, 35 years since I read the novel.

I know they had them in California at some point in the 80s. The last time I saw one was about a year ago in Kentucky, just over the state line.
