Howdy!

Post by RodeoRanch »

Howdy all!

I posted occasionally on the late GoneGold boards but I lurked there for years. When the site vanished, I must admit I felt a little lost on the big old Internet. You folks are some funny bastards...but in a good way!

Anyhoo, I'm glad to see these forums!

I'm a proud Canuck who also happens to be a slacker University student. I like beer, pretty women and a good time but I'm not easy...well, not until I've had some beers....

you know, there's a funny drawing of a lady shaving a beaver that I would post but I am at work and somehow I don't think googling 'lady shaving beaver' would be appropriate ;)

Another Canadian checking in. Fear us, Americans: soon you shall be overrun, and your currency will be more colourful.

And yes, that's colourful with a u.

In the South, igloos will melt. Hockey will be locked out. Toques will rot away, soaked with sweat and lost to fashion. But beer, fine beer, The Molson Canadian, is forever.

That'd be funny, if WWE didn't already have a heel tag team with this gimmick.

Sylvain Grenier keeps trying to sing the Canadian national anthem in french... badly.

Yeah, like you could ever get them out of Quebec and into the states. I am not afraid of your idle threats. You got 'em, you keep 'em.

Like I would pay attention to anyone who eats bottom feeders, lives in the south, and wishes they were French.

(You don't wish you were French, do you DZ?)

Fine Canada, you can send all of your send all of your French to the US as long as they stay south of the Mason Dixon. However, I am resolve to keep your Igloos off of my lawn.

We'll trade you the Frenchies if you send back all the hockey teams that went to your fair land! Winnipeg deserves a team, damnit!

From "The War of 1812", by The Arrogant Worms:

Oh... we... fired our guns, but the Yankees kept-a coming,
There wasn?t quite as many as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and the Yankees started running,
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico, oh, oh....
They ran through the snow and they ran through the forest,
They ran through the bushes where the beavers wouldn?t go.
They ran so fast, they forgot to take their culture,
Back to America, and Gulf and Texaco
