wiat a second, if pain is the obstacle to strength, then between my shattered arm and my kidney stone, then I ought to be able curl like 500 pounds and hold my piss for weeks.

Sorry, but you're experiencing "bad pain". I'm talking about "good pain".

All good pain does is get me to finish quicker and then make want to take a nap.

Fear and I have had a close relationship for a long time. I don't think either one has quite conquored the other yet.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I thought this was going to be about the band. I was pleased to learn it wasn't.

Hey, the band wasn't that bad.

OK, I take it back.

Damn straight. ;)

You didn't think I'd let you terrorize this new place all by yourself, did you?

You have The Meal (for posting this URL on the GGNL website) and Greg's Angel (for kicking me to actually register) to thank for my charming, scintillating, and rivettingly witty presence.

Do I even need to mention my modesty?

FYI I skeet and target shoot in Hell and it's cold from October until May. It's just a question of wet cold or snowy cold.

I think I mentioned it before, but the main route into Hell runs between Pinkney and Dexter and the road you take in is Darwin. I really need to remember to stop and get a picture of the crossroad/city pointing sign. It makes me chuckle every time I drive by it.

I used to be, but I'm too afraid of The Meal to get within 50 yards anymore.

Well, I guess I'll start out with a common one. Having been in a pleasant position where you have had nails driven into your back hard enough to leave small scars, and a rather strange corollary of having that happen on your hips....I do not recommend the later, because putting on the pants the next day sucks very very badly.

Of all the things I have said outloud that I probably shouldn't, this is not someplace I should probably go..
