Totally fake...the light level on the cat is WAY different than the rest of the room...it's actually a terrible fake IMO.

Light level could be explained by the flash on the camera no?

I would say it is real. I have a male Maine Coon that looks just like that and he is huge. I'm getting a digital camera from newegg (shipped today!) and I will make Bucky my first post.

The lady in the picture is only 4'2". The cat is normal sized and weighs about 10 pounds. The lady weights about 65.

I wonder if she dons a costume and rides the cats late at night solving crimes and stuff.

That is not healthy for the cat. Good to see the cat lost some weight since then.
Yet another shameless plug..for something

I used to have a small, short-haired kitty with black fur. If I didn't diligently clean her sheddings quickly, I would see tumbleweeds of fur on my hardwoods.
Can you
Imagine the fur that cat must leave behind?

Yes. It's a doll she's holding that someone put a real cat's face on.

Then you want a Maine coon kitty. They are naturally pretty huge and so you are not overfeeding your cat/endangering it's health.
23 lbs for the Coon above.

A friend's mother used to have a Siamese/Persian mix that weighed over 30 lbs. We called it "Jo Jo the Siamese pachyderm."
This cat would literally knock the wind out of you when it jumped into your lap (he was really socialable, too!)

Jeff - was it fat, or just big? That actually sounds like a really cool cat.

Both. The breed itself was inclined to produce rather large cats, but this one had an over-indulgent owner. Just like terribly obese people, this cat had a shortened lifespan due to its weight.

vag·a·bond Audio pronunciation of "vagabond" ( P )
n.
1. A person without a permanent home who moves from place to place.
2. A vagrant; a tramp.
3. A wanderer; a rover.
I don't get it...
