Anyone else watching Desperate Housewives?
[cross-posted from CG - cuz I'm a post-whore]
I'd taped the first episode of this when it aired and watched it last night. I wasn't very excited about this going into it but I have to say I loved the first episode.
It's primarily a vehicle for female actresses including Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman. The show reminds me a lot of Picket Fences in its tone. And its funny. Wickedly funny.
And there are so many unanswered questions (not really spoilers): What does the grieving husband have buried under the swimming pool? Why did the narrator commit suicide?
I have the second episode on tape and will watch it tonight. Between this and Lost, ABC really has it on the ball this season. I think they are replaying the 2nd episode Sat. night and episode three airs Sun night. Down with Reality TV!

I feel totally opposite. I saw a picture of Nicolette Sheridan and you can just tell that she's had work done.Coskesh wrote:Teri Hatcher looks worn down and is way too thin.
I watched the 2nd or 3rd episode to see my longtime sweatheart, Nicolette Sheridan. She's aged a bit better than Ms. Hatcher it seems.

Haven't seen the show but what is up with Teri Hatcher going on every talk show and teaching people to strip? Somewhere, I saw a clip of her teaching Oprah how to do stripper moves. I lhurled my cookies. It was a cruel thing to see not to mention it probably ruined strippers for me. I think she is a bad woman.

I have a odd sort of half-interest in it. I've had both episodes on, but I was playing Rome: Total War on both occasions and wasn't giving it my full attention. In both cases, I was mainly waiting for Boston Legal to start.
So while I think there's some good humour in there, and the hot chicks don't hurt any (the one that's doing the gardener is great), I'm by no means as fascinated with it as I am with, say, Lost.
