Agreed. He definitely shines when he doesn't take himself seriously. I'm also very partial to The Rundown.

The Rundown was excellent.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Kids playing chess.
In Search of Bobby Fisher?
Don't recognize the screenshot, but it's a movie about chess... and kids... or something like that.

Pretty sure it's spelled "Fischer" but otherwise yes, that's correctTheMix wrote:Kids playing chess.

I debated looking it up to verify. But figured it would be wrong anyway.

Actually, it's called Searching for Bobby Fischer, but yeah yeah yeah... you got it, Spock.

I'll guess it's a Mission Impossible movie, so Mission: Impossible (the first one)

Well, it's not Prague, Vienna or Paris, so that rules out every one of my guesses

A bear in his natural environment... a Studebaker.

To be fair, adolescent power fantasy tripe is way easier to write than absurd existential horror, and every community has got to start somewhere... right?
Unless one loses a precious thing, he will never know its true value. A little light finally scratches the darkness; it lets the exhausted one face his shattered dream and realize his path cannot be walked. Can man live happily without embracing his wounded heart?

I think I figured out what it is, but I'll hold off on answering since my answer is based on being adept with a search engine, not actual recognition.

Eh, I say go for it.
I'm pretty sure I've seen it. But obviously it was a while ago. I did glance at IMDB, but decided not to search. I keep hoping that the answer will percolate to my conscious at some point.

Now I know the movie. And I have seen it. But I honestly couldn't even give you a basic breakdown of the plot.
Of course, the only reason that I know is because it was one of the movies on his IMDB page... that I recognized. Though not well enough to make the guess.

So... since everyone else is apparently too gallant to answer, this is apparently called 2 Days in the Valley. Title also broadly hinted at by Brian above.

Is that a real movie? Or did you make that up?
I was just telling my wife "Uh oh, silverjon is picking the movie. She knows the most obscure movies. I don't think I've ever heard or seen any of the movies that she has posted." My wife's reply was "Maybe nasai will guess it."

However, I didn't guess this correctly, at least yet, and yes... Cars that ate Paris is a real movie. I was reminded of it by the spikes on the shoulder. I'm pretty sure I know what this is, but thought I was being tricked, so guessed the former. I'll wait a bit and guess again, should nobody else try.
