I keep seeing some indie looking movie in Target called The Squid and the Whale, but I don't think that's how he looks in it.

I haven't seen it but could it be American Ultra?

If so, was it any good? It's in my Netflix queue but I keep bumping it down in favor of other titles.

o.t., but The Squid and the Whale is an excellent movie and deserves to be seen by everyone.

Correct. I haven't watched it yet. Just picked it up from the library.

Well, I'm sure I'll see it eventually (got a whole lotta stuff in front of it in the queue though).

Anyway, here is my offering:

Ding Ding Ding!!!

Just rewatched that one a couple weeks ago. I was surprised at how much I'd forgotten about this movie since the last time I'd watched it back in the late '90's.

The slightly less recent Superman.

Superman Returns? (I did go to IMDB to get the title. I knew it wasn't Man of Steel.)

That made it familiar. It was the spiky things in the background that brought it home.

Nope and nope. Both good guesses. This is a recent movie. Though I don't recall ever seeing trailers.

Hmmm....

I did some searching. I'm not sure it ever got played in a cinema in the US.

I can keep going, or pick something new. I watched it on Netflix streaming.

Since there was no reply, I'll post a couple more shots. This time of the major actors (in case someone wants to just look it up).

Since we know that Milla Jovovich only makes Resident Evil movies, I'm going to go with Resident Evil: Zombie Pierce Brosnan.

Don't forget The Fifth Element!!!

But, no, alas. That is not the correct title. There are no zombies to be found in this movie. Which, while apparently panned by the critics, I thought was far better than the last Resident Evil film.

The movie is Survivor.

I'll go see if I can scrounge one up that actually made it to the theaters.

It looks like a softcore Playboy Channel scene I would stay up to 11 p.m. to watch through heavy static snow on our early-cable TV after my parents went to bed, circa 1982.

Maybe that was something else.
