It rings a bell. Something about Space Truckers. But I don't know if that's the title, or just something that's sticking in my mind. I've never seen it.

Google tells me that you are correct. I have never heard of this movie, even though it seems like the kind of movie I would have made a point of seeing in the mid-90s.

One of best lines in the movie is something that Dennis came up with right on the set, that was not scripted at all: after they have made a daring escape Mike says, “That’s some of the best driving I ever saw.’ Dennis just turns to him and says, “Pedal to the metal and played footsie with fate.’ The whole crew just sat there with their mouths hanging open, which was great.

Out of idle curiosity, I just found that we have 252 threads with a 56k warning, only one of which has been active in the past two years, and only six of which have had a post in the last decade. December of 2010 was the last time one was created.
