Last photos and video of Kenya's Elephant Queen. A super tusker elephant who lived 60 years and died soon after these were taken. Its amazing as Ive never seen tusks like that since poachers are fucking asshole scum of the Earth who will rot in hell for their quick profits.

Adobe is seeing how photographers respond to the removal of a $10 monthly subscription that combines Photoshop and Lightroom, and the answer when it comes to some shutterbugs is -- not well.

The subscription, introduced in 2013, combines Adobe's two main photography software packages and 20GB of cloud storage that can be used to sync photos shot with mobile devices. Adobe hid that option for some visitors to its website, though, presenting them instead with a $20 monthly plan that includes the two programs and a larger, 1TB chunk of storage, or a $10 monthly plan that includes only Lightroom and the 1TB of storage.

The original $10 option is still available over the phone (1-800-585-0774) or by visiting Adobe's photography plan website (though it's not visible there for some, including me). "From time to time, we run tests on Adobe.com which cover a range of items, including plan options that may or may not be presented to all visitors to Adobe.com," the company said in a statement Thursday.

That would suck. I was encouraged by a friend to sign up with that photography plan as it was a pretty cost-effective deal. Apparently too much of a deal? I would definitely mourn its loss as I wouldn't be able to afford them up-front. Still showing me as subscribed to that same plan though, so maybe only for new signups?

Finally started taking some pictures again lately. I really hit a funk where I wasn't motivated. Went to an airshow today and had a blast. Didn't have the best lens for the job, but I'm really happy with what I ended up with.

My wife's favorite photo is below. I'm not sure I agree, but I was amazed I even got that shot. And yes there's tons of cropping. Unless you have a lens the size of California you will be doing a lot of cropping for an air show. I was using a Tamron 70-300 btw...

There should be an option somewhere. Most image sharing services tend to have different options.

Washing dishes—the most ordinary of chores—led photographer Ernie Button on a decadelong discovery of a fantasy universe. While placing an empty whisky glass in the dishwasher, he noticed at the bottom a thin residue of evaporated alcohol—specifically, Scotch, the term for a whisky aged more than three years in oak barrels in Scotland. When the last drops of alcohol dried up, they left sediment from the whisky’s distillates. Button took the glass to his studio, laid it on its side, and took pictures.

One deal hunter spotted that Amazon discounted the Sony A6000 and 16-50mm bundle from $550 to $94.50 and shared the bargain on Slickdeals, a site on which people post amazing deals they happen across. Some shoppers spotted the same offer on Amazon and placed orders too, but others saw the regular price.

Nevertheless, inspired enthusiasts poked around Amazon and found much bigger deals on photography gear, many of which had the same $94.50 price tag. One claimed to have ordered a Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS lens at that price -- it often sells for $13,000. Others picked up cameras that usually retail at more than $1,000 for under $100, including the Fujifilm X100F and the Canon EOS R.

Amazon honored many of the pricing errors, as bargain hunters posted tracking updates for their orders and photos of their goods when they arrived. Some even claimed to have price matched the apparent fire sale with other retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart.

My daughter started marching band this year and I have been taking a million pictures for it. As sharing with band parents is a total PITA I decided to finally create my own website. My wife is going to make a proper logo, but I'm really happy that I can easily share with people now. If you send someone a flickr link they get all confused by how it works. If you post on FB everyone doesn't see it etc... If they can't figure out how to look at a website then they are a lost cause.

I was really stoked that I was able to get that domain name. It's simple and easy to remember. If you take a look feel free to let me know if you have suggestions. Websites aren't my thing at all, but the template was easy enough.
