Re: GamingTrend offline for a short time
Just had the sads when I instinctively went over to GT to see what the denizens over there thought of my current addiction, Triangle Strategy. They were always more console-focused than OO. Totally blanked out on the past couple years of history for a minute.
Can confirm: still offline (for discussion).

their page is up. Ron and co decided it was best to no longer have a forum. That was a few years ago.

Re: GamingTrend offline for a short time
Lots of forums have been disappearing lately, and all (including GT) seem to offer Discord as an alternative.
Which is an awful thing.

Ugh, Discord is no replacement for a forum. And I really hate Reddit's format which I find incredibly difficult to navigate.
The only real forum that seems to be surviving is somethingawful but even there the activity is much reduced from their heyday.

Re: GamingTrend offline for a short time
I'm finding Reddit to be similar to the old Usenet but with some quality of life improvements. It's not as good as a forum but it mostly works.
