Down to painting trim and shelves at Mom's house. After that, just landscaping and my ex is going to have one of her girlfriends come in and clean. The kids are leaving this next week for the Writing Excuses Baltic Cruise and in three weeks, I get my hip sawed off. If I have time, I may go see some friends in DC next week, because I won't be cleared to drive a stick for a couple months.

A begleri is a much cooler fidget toy. It's like a nifty nunchuck (thumb chuck?) for your fingers.

That looks way more likely to get someone hurt. Also, seems to require some dexterity.

Imagine that piece of metal being accidentally flung into Mom's favorite piece of furniture.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

The metal beads of a properly-made begleri usually aren't hefty enough to result in anything worse than a few bruised knuckles while first getting the hang of it. But even that is easily diminished by starting out with a simple paracord begleri with monkey fist knots:

The fact that some dexterity is required is a feature, not a bug. With practice, it becomes suprisingly intuitive to learn new tricks.

I've had that on my want list for a while now. I have a box full of fidget toys for myself and my eldest (although none are spinners.)

Another intense video of shrubbery?

I've considered getting a dashcam for my car, but the instances worth noting are very few and far between.

It's a finger toy.

I think I just got another tick off of me. It was a itchy spot and if I looked SUPER close I could make out a little tiny speck smaller than a grain of black pepper. I alcoholed it and scratched it and it came out with a tiny little white speck which I assume was my skin. SO TINY. I put benadryl spray on it and stuff trying to keep it in check if thats what it was.

Hopefully it's not the tick that makes you allergic to red meat! That would totally suck, no pun intended.

But they don't seem to fall into the SO TINY camp.

I dread the next hour. I have a gum infection and need to take my antibiotic....the one that makes me deathly sick every time I take it. This time Im going to eat a bunch of instant potatoes and then only take half the pill and take the other half later and see if that helps.

Have you ever watched a Bruce Lee movie here recently? They are really hard to watch. With the possible exception of the Lee fight scenes they really are too silly and stupid to watch more than five minutes. I'm not sure the Lee fight scenes are worth it either.

100 km/hr = about 62 mph. I don't think Smokey's all that impressed.

So two weeks ago, I see my new shrink and she takes me off the generic ritalin because I was taking 30 mg a day (which is apparently a lot, especially when I didn't quit drinking coffee) and experienced exactly zero ups or downs. She moved me over to ramping me up to 300 mg a day over the course of a week for a generic for welbutrin and holy shit did that do the exact opposite of what is was supposed to do. She said it would be four weeks until I had a noticeable improvement. Less than two weeks in, I think I may have experienced my first full fledged panic attack. Even though I was on vacation, I totally freaked out about the possibility of losing my job and the freak out was paralyzing, like I was having a bad trip. That was on Friday. On my third day of not taking the drug, I think I'm starting to normalize.

So, I missed my show on Friday and that sucks. It would have been the first concert I'da seen in over a year and I heard they made a huge deal of the grand opening of the park the show was in. Ah well, if I'm gonna freak out better to freak out at home than at work.

Was going to post a bunch about my new shit doc and losing half my meds I need thanks to them and how docs seem hell bent on being stupid uncaring ninnys that do more harm than good...but Ill pass.

I will say I think they are kickback asses that would push a bad pill on you to get money from a drug company rather than either giving you a good pill or leaving you alone as you were.

My life as I know it pretty much ends after today.

While it's likely to a bureaucratic PITA, you could always seek a second opinion.

Perhaps, but I s'pose that's up to his doc; I was referring to the following:
CollinsDictionary.com wrote:second opinion

Word forms: plural second opinions
countable noun

If you get a second opinion, you ask another qualified person for their opinion about something such as your health.

Ok, nerd me this. I was having a discussion with my ex today, who is into everything Marvel. I say this existed, but she can't remember it.

Back in the 80s or early 90s (probably 80s), there was a Marvel cartoon. At the beginning of each episode, Stan Lee did an intro voiceover as sort of a prologue. It started something like, "Welcome back, true believers!"

What show was that?

Spiderman and Friends? that would have been early 80s, however.
