At least when I'm farting I'm no longer scared of the consequences. So that's nice this morning.

So something really interesting on your phone? A cool cat video? That's nice but get off the fucking rowing machine and watch it elsewhere so I can do my workout.

Have a nice day.

San Francisco mayor Ed Lee apparently dropped yesterday while shopping due to a heart attack, and passed away this morning 1AM.

I absolutely HATE that. There are a finite amount of machines at the gym. Be on your phone ELSEWHERE. Often people will go on facebook or whatever between sets. That's not how it works!!

So I workout at the Y and there's a lot of older people there who sometimes take long breaks on a piece of equipment. I try to be patient with that because they're older and someday I too will be "Old People". All the other younger folks and people my age who are texting, checking texts, watching cat videos have no excuse. Also, people having long conversations with someone while they recline on an exercise machine. Get a fucking room.

I asked them what apples they use in their apple juice....wasn't sure they'd tell me...but they replied.... We mostly use the Pippin, Granny Smith, Fuji, Red Golden, and Red Delicious varieties.

Don't most gyms have a "no photo" policy? I can't imagine video would be acceptable.

We didn't go anywhere for vacation this year and so had a little extra money saved. We made it through the whole year with no extra expenses, so I thought we'd have a bigger Christmas than normal as a treat. All gifts are bought and wrapped and we were feeling good.

So today we learned my car needs a front wheel bearing for $300 and as I was driving to the mechanic in my wife's car, my wife's car's radiator cracked. Apparently there was a bad sensor so the fans weren't kicking in to cool the radiator. That will be $1000, please. Unbelievable and yet so predictable. :grund: :grund: :grund:

In the BSG 2004 ep Exodus pt2 I think Apollo should have been shot by firing squad for wasting Pegasus like that. It was a much bigger more advanced Battlestar with a damn production facility in it to build anything they needed...even new Vipers. Geebus.

Last time I visited my wife in the nursing home (she's due to come back in the middle of January by the way) she told me that one of the nurses was asking her if we were divorced and if she would mind if she asked me out on a date. My (ex) wife said okay.
I haven't heard anything but I don't know that I would go out with anyone that would go out with someone like me.

Many many years ago there was a song about the Beverly Hillbillies sung to LA Woman by The Doors. I am flashbacks to vague memories of this song and I can't find a trace of it on the Internet. All I remember "Ellie Clampett" in place of LA Woman and Mr Drysdale Drysdale Drysdale Drysdale but those bits won't go away this afternoon. Thank goodness it's nearing time to go home.

And NYE will be the only day in our lifetime when every adult was born in the 1900s, and every minor was born in the 2000s.

But they aren’t alive now unless Wikipedia is wrong, which means they won’t be alive on NYE, which makes the statement true if we assume by “adult,” we mean living person over the age of 18.

Back in September, our sales team all went through a really intensive sales training. As part of it, we we4e assigned sales coaches that we would engage with once a week. I was initially very resistant, as it felt like I’d just be adding one more thing to my already packed schedule.

Rick got assigned as my coach, and I was completely blown away. In addition to being a warm, funny, genuine guy, he has completely transformed the way I approach sales. He is, by far, the best consultative sales person I’ve ever met, and I went from initially dreading our coaching calls to them being the absolute highlight of my week.

Woke up this morning to an email this morning that Rick passed away yesterday. No details, but whatever happened, it happened fast. We had a coaching calll earlier this week, and he seemed to be just fine.

Hug your loved ones everyone. Things can happen fast and very unexpectedly. RIP Rick, you will be sorely missed.

Just got done talking to my sister over Facebook and learning about my great great grandfather on my dad's side on up to dad himself. Lots of info and some cool pics. Got one of gggrandad young and a 2nd lt in the confederacy to him old with his kids, his wife, and HER mom in a 1892 pic! Cool stuff to see and read it all.

Great great grandpa was a 2nd Lt under Lillard in the CSS. Got a pic of him in uniform and then late in life with some history and his grave. It says "His regiment's history show they were in the first Battle of Bull Run, also called Manassas. This was the first true land battle of the war and a victory for Confederate forces. By the Fall 1861 he was camped 20 miles east of Washington, D.C., near today's Manassas National Battlefield Park. "
3rd Regiment, Tennessee Mounted Infantry
In April, 1865, it moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, and became part of President Davis' escort, until surrendering at Washington, Georgia, on May 9.

Which is kinda neat because I was born on a May 9th.

One of Mrs. Skinypupy's main goals over the holiday break was to get the kid's rooms organized and cleaned up. She has spent the last 4 hours organizing everything in the Wonder Twins 4.6's room into labeled bins. Legos, books, action figures, etc. She just had the very serious talk with both of them about how everything needs to be put away in it's place before they get out something else to play with, and that she expects them to be big boys who can keep their rooms clean.

I give it a max of 2 hours before she's in tears because their room looks like a bomb went off in it again. :pop:

We also did a stuffed animal purge this morning. Each kid got to keep 10 animals on their bed, another 6 in their toy bin, and we’re donating the rest. We are donating over 150 stuffed animals.

The tears that came from that little exercise were outrageous. You’d think we were sending actual family members to face the firing squad.

I think it would be about the same numbers in my house. My boys are 8 and 11 and the 11 year old has most of them. of course I am an enabler despite myself. Their favorite christmas gifts were stuffed porgs (spoiler: chicken things from The Last Jedi).
