Last work I did outside in the brush i thought I was dying. No shit. I was only doing 1 thing too. Still have the other 2 bushes to cut down and drag away. But Im not out there doing it. That was in spring too. I should be out there getting stuff done. Too old and puny . Plus by the time I get that chainsaw started and running Im give out before I start.

Circumstantial evidence suggests that rat poison killed my cat who died suddenly and mysteriously. One of my neighbors saw a rat and hired exterminators who placed poison baits. I only found out about that a year after Tiberius died, and IDK if the timing was right. But the hypothesis fits the available data.

Poison bad.

Noticed on my mortgage info that my principle being paid is now double the interest paid. I remember years ago when the interest being paid would be 95% of the entire payment and only like 5% went to principle lol.

Means Im getting closer to the end wooooo.

I still fucking HATE that 11.6% interest.

Ditto that.

We sometimes have rodent issues, living in the woods as we do, and we make sure we kill intruders quickly and painlessly with potent "snap jaw" type traps. We'd never use the old "bucket of water with baited rolling log" trap some people put stock in for bulk kills. Even drowning seems too cruel.

Before we resorted to killing the rats we had trying to move in last year we tried Have a Heart traps, but they evaded those very easily.

We had a Have a Heart trap once in the 90s. All it caught was 1 opossum and 1 chipmunk. I have no idea how a tiny little chipmunk sprung it. The opossum was let out in the woods and smiled and walked off. The chipmunk became a blur as soon as the door was opened and it went to warp.. I barely saw it leave. VROoooom.

Wife had her eye procedure today. Took a laser and destroyed part of the capsule that holds her lens. Never cut into the eye. She should have really good vision by morning. We sure hope so. The whole thing is rather nerve racking.

The idea of eye surgery freaks me out. I'll have to get cataract surgery someday and it worries me right now

Eye doctor has been begging me for 10+ years to get LASIK and I keep asking if I need to be conscious. They always say yes, so I always say no. I am genuinely afraid I'm going to get cataracts and be unable to deal with the surgery. Hopefully I can just take a pill by then.

I never tried contact lenses because I'm so squeamish about anything touching my eyes that I couldn't even handle eye drops for many years. I had to make peace with those when I developed blepharitis (a chronic eyelid infection). If there was a treatment for that, I'd take it in a minute. There isn't so, keep your hands off my eyes. I need them for seeing.

The laser used on my wife's eyes was very low powered. It never even broke the "skin" of the eyeball. I read where it would just barely warm up the skin if it was pointed to your arm. In my wife's case I sat there with her and watched. After seeing that even I would get that procedure if necessary.
Had my cataracts taken out a couple of months ago. Fairly easy and no pain. They replace your lens with prescription ones so you see better than ever. It is a pain tho to keep putting 3 types of eyedrops in your eyes for a couple of weeks. And no rubbing your eyes.

When we were teens, we started getting contacts. I never had a big deal with it - I took to it quite easily. My friend, however, was another story. We both had gas permeable (semi-rigid, I believe they're also called) lenses that were closer to hard contacts than soft. It could be tricky to get the hang of taking them out (although once you figure it out it was a snap), and my friend actually used a tool that would essentially act as a suction cup to get the lens out - you put the cup on the lens and pull it out. Easy enough. Except my friend missed the lens and somehow got this thing stuck on his eye. He ended up rolling around on the floor screaming with a plastic stick coming out of his eye. They eventually got it out without any harm, but that was the last time my friend wore contacts.
That's my purse! I don't know you!

Ahhhh...the idea that the contact lens could slide up over my eyeball and into my skull is where the conversation ends.

I just need to get to the point where nanobots can fix my eyes. And stop me from eating. And stop my arteries from getting harder. You all want flying cars. I want nanobots.

I asked about contact lenses years ago as my near sightedness became a little worse and was essentially told I was too much of a coward. Apparently when they did the puff of air test on my eyes, I flinched more than most toddlers did.

I suspect he was just messing with me. But you never know.

I had $4 on my EBT card and $7 in the bank. Being SICK of sitting here with a wall to play with I decided to go to the store and get a jar of sour cream and hit Taco Bell for 4 of their $1 beef burritos to put it on.

Got the sour cream but at TB the line was HUGE. I sat and sat in it for like 10 min and moved 2 spaces. I was still another7 or 8 from the window. So figured I was no dummy Ill park, go in and get my food inside and be gone before the guy behind me gets to the speaker. I didn't have the gas to sit there so a no brainer. Grab the door to go inside and yank..huh...yank...wtf....small sign by door "Drive thru only"....well fuck me. lol. I peeled out and came home foodless.
