Apparently Tim Curry is going to be voicing Lawrence's arch nemesis on an episode that airs next Friday. As near as they can figure, it's the first time the two of them have worked together since RHPS.

The doctor you send them both to so that they can be evaluated. At least that is where I am in the process right now. Dad has some issues and Mom supposedly does not. Mom, however, calls me by my father's name semi-regularly and forgets things she told me five minutes earlier. :? :(

It's really turning into a [Say X], four hours later [Say Y] and vehemently deny [X] was ever discussed while getting increasingly agitated. Forgetting keys, mixing up names...I do think that's normal. It's the 180 degree turns on conversations that is starting to worry me.

They weren't legal in Michigan either and yet every kid had them... Or they did where I grew up, anyway.

Today is going to be horribly long when it's only 10:15 and I've been ready for lunch for an hour already.

I just got stopped from buying a day-old pastry because the campus "mall" is shut down. Okayyyyy. Can't be maintenance work because they announce that weeks in advance. Fire alarm went off? Bomb scare?

No. An armored car got robbed last night and three of the guards were killed. Fuck.

Reminds of the the time I was late to work because my car was blocked in by a police crime scene van collecting evidence from the building adjacent to mine where a child had been gunned down the night before. I moved less than two weeks after that, gladly violating my lease.

I'd :P but I have a distaste for kraut. OTOH if you had a brat cooked in beer, onions, and peppers and then layered in mustard. Now way would I do that to myself. I think it's time for an early lunch and then I don't how I'll get through the next six hours.

Now with link:

The search was on for suspects Friday after a midnight heist at an ATM machine on the University of Alberta campus left three armoured guards dead and one in critical condition.
...
The robbery occurred around 12:30 a.m. at HUB Mall, a long, thin rectangular block of shops, eateries and student apartments on the east end of campus, which sits on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River and across from Edmonton's downtown skyscrapers.

The mall is built up over an access road. The third fatality was found on the road, underneath the super-structure and below the shooting scene.
...
The scene had a puzzling twist. While one G4S vehicle was located at the scene, a G4S armoured truck was found some distance away in an east Edmonton industrial park near the G4S offices.

The truck had been left idling, parked at an angle at the side of the road. Police had the area around the truck blocked off Friday and were investigating.

G4S is an international security company with more than 630,000 employees. It has a specialized cash-management arm that delivers pay packets to fill ATMs.

So I go to the gunshop this afternoon and I take my stepson with me.
When I get ready to leave he's in his full glory telling everybody a bunch of bullshit and not paying attention to nothing else. I told the shop owner I was going to leave and see if he would miss me.
So I left him there.
After I had gone about a mile I turned back and picked him up back at the shop.
I don't think he's ever going to be able to face those guys again.
