Of course, these are only my predictions, but I'd bet money that Selena Gomez will be around as a celebrity for a long time.

Besides her looks, she has several things going for her that Sweaty McBreasts on the casting couch doesn't have:
Exposure - she's a household name in houses with teens and pre-teens.
Not Over Exposed - she's not a superstar on the scale of Miley Cyrus. The general public doesn't really know who she is.
She's a "known" - she's been in showbusiness long enough to know what to expect. A producer knows what kind of work he can expect out of her.
She's not a stereotype - She doesn't seem to have a set character that will make it hard for her to take on new roles. I think she can move into the more mature roles easier than some. Anne Hathaway made the move from Disney to Hollywood without tarnishing her prior work - if Selena can follow that same pattern, I predict much success for her.
