So last weekend I met a really cute woman about 10 years younger than me (I think - she looks that, at least) at a party thrown by some restaurant-owning friends of mine. In spite of seeing me eat BBQ ribs (not a pretty picture), she agreed to go out with me tomorrow night. After talking on the phone a couple of times, we agreed a movie was in order, and since there was nothing I particularly wanted to see (other than Team America - is that good for a first date

?), I told her to pick something she wanted to see. She chose poorly (tm SpielbergCo.).

So now I'm off to see The Forgotten - which has a whopping 33% rating at rottentomatoes.com.

Pray for me.

I don't think she's the Yentl type. Shaun of the Dead was in consideration, but I had already seen it, and she didn't want to make me sit though it again (although I really wouldn't have minded one bit).
