They had a longer ladder so I could grab it while standing up rather than getting on my hands and knees and falling to my death trying to reach the rungs of my ladder. A fall of almost 8 feet!

They had one of those trampoline things but they needed about 20-30 more people to hold it for when I would jump into it.

I get that. I used to use a step ladder and the tip top of it came to about 6" below the roof line and it was fine when I was young. Id just back off and step my foot on it. Well in my 40s...had not been up there since my 20s...i got up there with some trouble but come time to get down it took me 20 minutes and my heart was racing. Next time I used a expandable ladder that sticks up way past the roof and I still had a nerve wracking time so I dont go up any more.
