Both did. I preferred Bactine. I mostly got alcohol or Neosporin too. I still use Neosporin.

My recollection is that they both stung to the point where I never wanted to tell mom about any scrapes, lest she open the evil cabinet of band-aids and iodine.

My God man why?? Mercurochrome burned like fire and Bactine was a cool liquid that had a pain numbing agent in it with no sting.

Not to be lookist, but the fact that she's not a 20-something supermodel suggests that she and Reeves might have a genuine connection and that's he's far more intellectual than some of his roles might suggest.

Apparently the mercury free version is still available, but on Amazon or other mail-order places.

Based on these Nielsen data, the agency estimates that total sales for these products represent less than 0.1 percent of all sales of OTC first aid drug products. The industry has been aware of the status of these products since 1982, and all of the manufacturers identified by FDA also produce products containing ingredients proposed for inclusion in the monograph. The lost sales from the nonmonograph products are expected to be offset by increased sales of the substitute products.

I have heard nothing but amazing things about him, even back as far as the Matrix movies. He's the kind of guy you want to sit down and have a beer with and just...chill. Not even ask any "celebrity-style" questions, I would be happy just to watch a football game or something with him.
