They did some funny stuff with the photos. Cruise is 5'7". Slater is 5'9". Banderas is 5'9". Pitt is 5'11".

Cruise somehow standing 3-4 inches taller than he really is there. Dude must have custom shoes that have built-in stilts.

Banderas is slumping and Pitt is bending his knees. I wonder if that was contractually required.

It looked wrong enough that I did some checking. The photo is from 1994 at the Interview with a Vampire premier. Dunst is 12.

I'm familiar with the book. I never read it, but plenty of the people I knew in high school in the early 90s treated the book like it was their bible.

I was not goth, but I was a tall nerd with particularly pale skin, long, dark hair, and a habit of wearing black. Other than the clothes (which were BDUs, not goth), it was just my normal look. All the goths assumed I was goth, and apparently I had the 'look' naturally that the goths were trying to emulate, so I had an unasked-for following. Which was weird. My well-known fascination with the occult back then (

) probably didn't help.

So despite not being into the vampire thing, I was constantly having Anne Rice shoved under my nose. It killed any desire I might have ever had to read it when it was popular, or to see the movie.
