No, it just happens that they picked four regional adjectives, only one of which happens to also be a genre of porn.

These are the My Little Ponies Friendship is Magic ponies:

See how angry they all are? Especially Twilight Sparkle? She will eat your lunch and mock the hell out of you while she does it.

Here's Twilight Sparkle before she's had her coffee in the morning.

My daughter thinks they're cute. I know the truth.

The amount of eye rolling they do to each other is unparalleled. Each thinks they are the embodiment of Little Pony-hood, and find the others vexing, frustrating and mock-worthy. They had a sleepover that ended in carnage.

This is a mock motivational poster that would fit in with the show without the photoshopping.

Image

Applejack and Rarity are particularly funny together.

Ok, I am being slightly ironic. But if you have to watch cartoons with your kids, you could do a LOT worse than My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.

Another one that I despised until I had watched a few episodes is Totally Spies!

Image
Image

This one should totally take my man card more than my little ponies, but the truth is these shows have adults doing the writing and voice acting, and there is a lot that go right over my kids heads.

The new Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck show "Looney Tunes Show" isn't even pretending to be for kids. It is definitely aimed directly at my generation, but for some reason is shown right along side actual kid shows. There's stalking, drug addiction, narcissism, bigotry, rap, dmv jokes, all kinds of crap that is inappropriate for my kids but since it's delivered in such a way that it goes right over their heads, I let them watch it.

the wiki wrote:A large difference between Bugs and Daffy's friendship in the show is that, whereas Bugs would hardly mind Daffy's flaws in the original cartoons, in the show Bugs is often and openly annoyed at Daffy's antics, sometimes to the point of aggression when Daffy becomes too obnoxious.

Here's Elmer a little too into grill cheese.

And here's the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote doing their best Kill Bill and Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger impressions.

Chickenhawk getting funky.

Going to have to back GreenGoo on this one. The new My Little Ponies is a good show. Not at all like the old version.
It's 104 first team All-Americans.
It's a college football record 59 bowl appearances.
It's 33 bowl victories.
It's 22 Southeastern Conference Championships.
It's 14 National Championships.

At some places they play football. At Alabama we live it.

I think most of those cosplayers are dealing in irony. The obese ones know they don't fit the mold, so they're rocking the mold.

The bad tinfoil Silver Surfer isn't failing at cosplay. He's succeeding at Hipster Halloween Party.

OK so I checked out the new My Little Ponies with the kids last night...and agree, MUCH better than the previous version, but it's still no Backyardigans, the current king of kid shows (for me at least).

Backyardigans is a great kids show, but it has nothing for me as the dad watching with the kids. I agree though, if there is a show I'm going to turn on and leave them alone with, you can't go wrong with backyardigans.

My kids have outgrown it, but when they were watching the Backyardigans I was really impressed with the lyrics to lots of the songs. This was very clever stuff, not sappy, lame kid junk. (I'm looking at you, Dora.)

The first two or three seasons of the Backyardigans were especially good. I think they lost steam in the fourth. (We saw them all on DVD in the space of a year or so.)

I wish I had a spare $100 to drop on that.

I got myself a Lego Shelob over the weekend, to protect my desk. Amusingly enough, Frodo came with three of the "One Ring" and two "Sting" swords. I gave Gollum the ring and planted the other two deep inside Shelob for protection. Frodo is dual-wielding Sting swords, as he should have all along. They keep my Lego Storm Troopers in check.

Daily Mail

[W]hen cat Orville, named after the famous aviator Orville Wright, was run over by a car, his artist owner decided to turn him into a permanent piece of artwork as the ultimate tribute by transforming him into a flying helicopter.

Dutch artist Bart Jansen first stuffed Orville before teaming up with radio control helicopter flyer Arjen Beltman to build a specially-designed flying mechanism to attach to the cat. The end result, named the Orvillecopter, is now on show at the Kunstrai art festival in Amsterdam where visitors can watch Orville flying for themselves.

Jansen said the Orvillecopter is 'half cat, half machine', and part of a visual art project to pay tribute to his cat Orville. Jansen, part of the art cooperative Generaal Pardon, said: 'After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously.'

He added that Orville will soon be 'flying with the birds' stating: 'Oh how he loved birds. He will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday. So this hopping will soon change into steady flight.'

I will switch to Phineas and Ferb if it is on, even if all 3 of my kids complain that they were watching something else. Your tv time is now over. It's Daddy's turn on the TV, and Daddy picks Phineas and Ferb. Deal with it, you little monsters. Luckily they love Phineas and Ferb so it's pretty rare we need to go to war over it.

The videos are my fault. Luckily I put up some pics too (unintentionally being thread appropriate) so hopefully that mitigates some.
