Track & Field was *my* game in the arcades of the 80's. I started off with the comb, but eventually worked my way to just being able to sort of lock my hand in a position to do just as well if not better without it. The worst version was the trackball variant - you would end up with blisters after a day of gaming.

Funny random story: A few years ago I was visiting a friend and we went to one of those "barcades" to relive our youth for a few hours. Being the 'old guys' in the barcade in this college town, we ended up drinking with the owner and swapping tales of the old days. The topic turned to Track & Field, and my friend started telling the owner how nobody could ever beat me at that game. Well, the owner fancied himself a bit of a pro at it himself, so a wager was made. It was a good match, but I ended up with the win. I don't know if there is any truth to it, but some of the times/distances I managed to pull in the game, the owner told me they were top-5 in the world score-wise. I think he maybe was trying to get me to buy more drinks.

Is it me or does the Cenobite Grogu look more like a hairless Gizmo?

Side note: there are actually a few novels based on the Cenobites, some written by Clive Barker (beyond the short story that started it all, that is). There's even one with Sherlock Holmes meeting them, although that's written by someone else. I'll have to check out the other Barker novels though.

This droll observation was music to the ears of the $35.5 billion US cattle milk industry, which lately has been challenging the $1.6 billion plant-based milk industry’s right to use the word “milk.” Gottlieb seems to be sympathetic: His agency has proposed enforcing its own labeling rules for milk, which could prevent producers of almond milk and oat milk from continuing to use the term.

But plant milk producers scored a key victory on Thursday. The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that calling almond milk “milk” is not deceptive, upholding the dismissal of a lawsuit called Painter v. Blue Diamond Growers.

I love animals and hate animal abuse. But I also crave meat and love only cow milk. Fake milks and soy and almond stuff is like trying to drink thin nasty white oil.

My grandson used to be allergic to milk, so his parents started distinguishing between almond milk, hemp milk, and cow milk.

After 47 years of milk I made the switch to almond milk this year. I find that the 'original' blends are way too sweet, while the unsweetened blends are too bitter. Solution: I get a half gallon of each and pour them into a gallon jug. It's healthier than milk, less damaging than milk, less cruel than milk, and I actually prefer the taste to milk.

I don't want to drink any of them by the glass, but the oat milk I use in cereal and tea tastes good enough to. The only things I use soy milk for now are cheeses and vegan buttermilk.

No goat milk for anyone?

I would drink goat milk, I like the cheese.

Lately I've been consuming large quantities of oat milk for fun.
If you are looking for a relatively safe and inexpensive vice, I recommend it.

Its expensive. Have to buy it by the can. We used it when we had the kennel for the little pups when there were feeding problems.

We used to raise wolf pups and that's the only thing besides their mother milk they would drink.

I switched to skim milk in college for some reason (I think it's because one of the guys in the house always had it and I'd end up drinking his...then replacing it, of course). I tried whole milk recently and it was like drinking syrup at this stage of my life.
