The Dark Knight Rises..Spoilers inside

Postby DarkVulgar » Tue Jul 12, 2011 6:06 pm

Hi Guys,

I know we're a long way off from the summer 2012 release date but the teaser poster and trailer should be out with the new harry potter movie. The pic i'm posting is the supposed teaser poster. What do you peeps think? From the looks of the poster Gotham is in for a crap storm.

It's interesting that the bat is the "light" element of the image instead of the more usual "dark space" in the bat-signal. I dunno if it's intentionally meaningful or not.

Between the game coming out in the Fall and this movie, it's a good time to be into the Batman.

Watched it earlier on YouTube. Looks like the video is dead on the site you linked. Seems OK for a teaser but I would have liked to see a bit more of where the plot is going. Guess I'll have to wait for a full trailer.

Looks pretty cool. Haven't seen the trailer but I'm sure I will at HP.

Oh, maybe i will actually be in one the scenes in a movie. Hint, i was a mercenary in the shooting. Though not in front ranks. I think they had some mercenaries taken from town to town where they were doing shooting. Pitsburg and then NY.

Holy crap! ROBIN!

Note: Fans in stadium holding signs for a team and the first letter (R) being styled like the way Robin styles his letters.

Note#2: The football player returning the kickoff turns around and his last name is Ward.
It's 107 first team All-Americans.
It's a college football record 60 bowl appearances.
It's 34 bowl victories.
It's 23 Southeastern Conference Championships.
It's 15 National Championships.

At some places they play football. At Alabama we live it.

Yes... noted. But the strange "R" in the stands coupled with the link of Ward's last name being the same as the last name of the actor that played Robin in the TV series has a lot of people speculating that they were trying to send a message in this trailer about a possible Robin appearance.

From what I read (on the Internets, so it must be true) the sign was fan-made by the guy in the stands, and not at the direction of Nolan. Likewise, Ward plays for Pittsburgh where parts of the movie were filmed, and it's speculated that using Ward in the film was contractual with the city. The only other football player's name you can see, evidently, is that of the mayor of Pittsburgh.

So you are saying that Hines Ward is ROBIN! OMG!

Apparently a bunch of Steelers (and Bill Cowher!) were involved in the filming, although no one knows who will actually show up in the final cut.

I had read some things about the poor sound, specifically Bane's voice. That is horrible - can't understand a word he was saying.

We were behind a truck on the freeway the other day that was filming out the back, and had a Dark Knight Rises sign on the side.

Looks good. I also like the fact that the trailers give you absolutely no sense whatsoever of the plot, other than the fact that Bane wants to do bad things to Gotham.
