The Google Doodle thread
Pretty good one today, with a side order of R&P at the end.
(Like many folks, I hardly every go to Google's home page, so I sometimes miss the doodles. This thread can be used as a beacon for when a good one pops up.)

Re: The Google Doodle thread
It was very cute. Reminded me of the early days when I was trying to woo my wife to be. Except for her having a cold heart. Was thinking of forwarding it to her but didn't want her to misinterpret that part of the song.

Keeping in theme with their Olympic doodles they have a playable hurdles one up today. My best time so far is 16s. Can't go too crazy with the arrow keys, gotta keep the noise down or I might be noticed.

I saved my red shirt. That is the best doodle ever. Wish I knew exactly what it was for. Is this when Star Trek started in 67? I should know this.

I hadn't put together before how much Sendak owes to Winsor Mackay.

To be fair, adolescent power fantasy tripe is way easier to write than absurd existential horror, and every community has got to start somewhere... right?
Unless one loses a precious thing, he will never know its true value. A little light finally scratches the darkness; it lets the exhausted one face his shattered dream and realize his path cannot be walked. Can man live happily without embracing his wounded heart?

I got a high score of 150 candies on today's Google 15th anniversary ("birthday") doodle. No idea if that's good or bad, played 4. Seems like you should be able to bust the pinata open though, the way it starts to fall apart.
