Nabisco Bacon Thins

Post by Brian »

These things need to come back. Like right now.

You'd think with the popularity of all things bacon on the internet that this would be a no brainer.

And I'm not alone in this either.

wot?

To be fair, adolescent power fantasy tripe is way easier to write than absurd existential horror, and every community has got to start somewhere... right?

Looking at the Wikipedia article, apparently they still sell bacon crackers in Australia. Maybe you can get an Aussie to ship you a crate.

Or you can try those from Canada...

I've heard that the Canadian Bacon Dippers are basically the same thing.

However, shipping is almost double what the price of the item will be.

IE: 10 boxes @ $36.90 + $61 shipping = no bacon crackers from the Great White North for me, eh.

You need to make more Canadian friends who will visit you.

I actually had several Canadian friends when I was in college at Minot State University, Minot N.D. but I lost touch with them ages ago.

As a kid at New Years we were allowed to pick snacks to eat in our room while my parents entertained in the family room. It was always those two. I had forgotten about them. Everything now is cheese this and cheese that.

I buy a box of them every 5 years or so. They aren't as good as I remember... And yet I still buy a box every five years or so. :?

Whenever I try a different beer or wine that is really good I will run across it months later and think how good it was and how I should buy more. When I do they rarely seem to live up to the expectations.

These are pretty good. The bacon flavor isn't as strong as the old Bacon Thins, but they'll do in a pinch, and don't risk getting eaten by Customs agents.

Excellent, Ollie's will stock them whenever they go near out of date at their original vendors. "If" they ever go out of date seeing how the label has "bacon" on it. Grooved Taco Cheez Its were swell.
