Yeah, I didn't see that coming at all and it was a good chuckle.
Spoiler:
I always thought she was an excellent addition to the show when she was on. I mean, she's always going to be Karen to me ( ) but Tammy is a close second.

It seemed like Amy was reading her lines a lot, but the rest of it was enjoyable for what it was.

For me it was tough to watch at first but finished strong.

My daughter loves the show and she was absolutely thrilled throughout. That made me very happy. So all in all, great special.

Sure the gags were hit or miss, but seeing those characters together/apart again warmed even my fossilized old heart. I wish Satan's Niece had gotten more screen time, but I'm sure she's glad she didn't.

There was almost a little too much Covid speechifying, but otherwise I found it to be quite funny. Solid A- rated episode for me.

I think the fact that they are married in real life adds a ton to it.

This doesn't involve Parks & Rec, but I'll spoiler it anyhow.
Spoiler:
Nick Offerman with Megan Mullaley on stage was one of the only shows I almost walked out of. A lot of people did. Although it's not my favorite thing I don't mind raunchy comedy, but we did not enjoy his graphic descriptions of her vadge or their anal adventures. One or two jokes at the Christians' expense offended even this firmly not-Christian. We did sit through to the end and agreed that it was one of the worst shows we'd ever seen.

I still like the Ron and Tammy characters. The standup comedians? Not so much.

That special was way better than it had any right to be. Don't get me wrong I love Parks and Rec, but It that could have easily fallen on it's face. I can't imagine many other shows being able to pull that off. Especially after being off the air for so many years.

Yeah. I think the social-distance format allowed them to just do character bits without worrying about having to launch and conclude any sort of one-off plot. Basically the characters were doing the same thing the viewer is doing: reconnecting by video.

Wow. I've never seen that standup in any format, but that's surprisingly too bad.

I'm currently reading his book from 2013 ("Paddle Your Own Canoe"), so your stand-up experience would not surprise me now. That being said, I was quite surprised in reading about his teen and young adult years and the kinds of things he was into (or at least is willing to write about and admit to). He's definitely an interesting person (based on what he's shared).
