Im going to try to stay with good ones. Some of my favorites are 3-D in nature but good artwork really makes me smile. I can never get one as I just dont want something on me I cant wash off when I want But I can appreciate them as some amazing art.....when they are good.

I have seen SO many bad tattoos just in town though. It's as if they were done by a drunk man after poking his eyeballs out. Just no talent at all. Then on the other side of the coin I've seen tattoos that appear to be artwork...as if they were drawn on and not really a tattoo. On the web sometimes Im not sure if it's a real tattoo, temp tat, or photoshop.

But I want to post the ones I find amazing. The stand out ones. I will definitely keep this thread updated.

It's a temporary one from 2 days ago. The daughter did one on the back of her hand and decreed that I get the same one and we can't wash them off. Seeing her wash her hands is hilarous. I don't think it will last another day. I pray it won't.

i suggested this idea to the then-current girlfriend about 13 years ago, and she got it - i don't have any pictures of it, though. we used a modem motherboard as a guideline for the design, if i remember correctly.

I'd been thinking about getting a tattoo fora while and I had a few ideas running through my head. Then, I heard about special UV ink that was on the market. Right then, I know exactly what I wanted.

In case you're not sure what the hell this is, it's a layout of a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) done in UV ink while I have two "squares" done in standard black ink.

The squares are of a Computer Processor which is modelled from Intel's Core 2 Extreme Quad-core processor, and; a standard Ethernet port. Neither of which react to UV light.

Overall, the tattoo makes up of a small computer circuit on my arm which connects the processor to the ethernet port.

What you see in the above picture is what the entire tattoo looks like under UV light. Under normal lighting conditions, however, all that can be seen are the two squares at either end of my arm..

Phase 1 of the tattoo. It will probably take 2-3 sessions in total.

I can't wait until my week-ass 90s wolf tattoo is covered. It is 20 years old now and showing its age.

Yeah, I'm getting it done at Expressive Ink in Wharton, NJ. I highly recommend Kelly as an Artist. She really takes her time to get things right.

I think it's been mentioned before, but even if the forum spoiler-hides the image, the browser still loads it. And when you hotlink the image (which we apparently still do after all these years), if that site red-flags any type of website monitoring the NSFW thread label would be the only thing that would stop you from going in the thread in the first place.

You can only cut up the skin so much before it will stop taking ink. That and the artist's hand starting to hurt. I have a really high threshold for pain, especially given my last year of medical problems. My ass hurt more from sitting in the chair so long than the tattoo.
My artist is really taking her time. This is about 7-8 hours of work so far.
Getting a tattoo is not the same as getting an injection or having blood taken. Not by a long shot. Your fear of needles not withstanding, it just doesn't feel the same. It is more of a burn than a stick. If you've never had a tattoo and want one, start small so you can see how it feels before getting something bigger.

And just to add to this, a multi-session tattoo requires time for the skin to heal up between sittings.

I had both arms done concurrently, so my artist was able to work on them in alternating sessions to progress through the entire project faster.
