And its not even breakfast all day. Its a lie. They only offer a few limited items like pancakes or sausage biscuits. I think in total there are 6 items. Want a McMuffin? Sorry nope cant have it. So its not really breakfast all day. I least not at my local ones.

All right, I screwed up.

Apparently there's a McPick 2 for $6 coming in March that will have QPC, Big Mac, Fish, or 10 nuggets as options.

That's because you're in the South, where it's biscuit land for all day breakfast.

It is breakfast all day. It might not be the full breakfast menu, but it's breakfast, and it's all day.

Nice!

I remember from my days at Virginia Tech that the 24 hour Hardees next to campus switched to their breakfast menu at midnight. Drunken Hardees breakfast was the best.

With the "Pick Two" menu I like to get the chix sandwich and the mozzarella sticks. Drive-through, duh.

Pull into a spot. Put the sauce from the sticks onto the chix patty AFTER dumping the lettuce (but keep the mayo).

Place the sticks on top of the sauce, return the top bun. Wrap the sandwich back up.

Place the wrapped sandwich somewhere warm, center console, dashboard...whatever. I usually sit on mine.

Drive to park, watch crack deals, enjoy sandwich.

Is this a Chicken Parm?

If you eat at Wendy's and pay by card, it's time to start monitoring your account. I don't buy fast food by card but I literally look at my bank accounts every business day.

I think what you are referring to are photos that show hollowed out cheese sticks. The mozzerella all ran out during the cooking process. The cheese they use is indeed mozzerella though.

Pick up the CD. It's 29 years old (!) and I still manage to get it into my rotation a few times a month. Highly underrated - like the Sausage McMuffin.

On topic: I remember reading recently (~6 months) an article from a guy that was retiring from McDonald's after decades of owning a franchise. His biggest problem was that (in his opinion) corporate has moved too far away from their core mission - to deliver food quickly and all of these crazy menu items (I believe the frou-frou coffee was high on his list of complaints) is dragging down delivery time and quality overall. Now that they have to keep dedicated areas and servers available for all day breakfast items, I'd expect (based on his observations as an owner) it might have a short-term bump but overall won't fix the bigger problems.

McDonald's, like Walmart, has its profits inversely proportional to the state of the economy. So the food trends (and people trying to eat "healthier" or "fancier" fast food) are definitely a factor, but some of it is just out of the company's control. When economy is doing better, people may choose a pricier option. Now, breakfast is different in that it's not as dependent on socio-demographics: you can have a CEO who wouldn't touch a Big Mac with a 6-foot pole, but who would stop at McDonald's for breakfast.

I think that's a really good point. Simplicity is key. You add too much and it's likely to grind the service down to a halt and back up the lines. I think that's part of what I'd been experiencing in my earlier complaint. Reminds me of a place I used to go to quite frequently, and I still do from time to time, but they had introduced a way to toast the meal, a pita like thing, and I tried it out once, but any other time they'd ask if I wanted it toasted, I would just say no because it would back up the line and I just wanted to get out of there quickly. That place is really busy and popular with students and aren't prepared to deal with high-volume, made worse by having to wait for something to be toasted.

I stopped going to KFC to get their grilled chicken sandwich because they were always out and it would take 1-25 minutes in order to get a fresh one. Perfect timing for a quick lunch in the middle of a work day.

They've got this new Nashville Hot Chicken I tried on a whim early this week and it's actually pretty damn good. A step or two above their normal offerings. I liked it so much I went back for it again later in the week, which just about means I've now gone to KFC as much in 2016 as I did in 2015.

I had the same problem. Food poisoning at a KFC about 7 years ago. Have not eaten at a KFC since.

Hell, I found a hair in my jerk chicken at one of my favorite Jamaican places near my apartment about 2 years ago, and have yet to return. When it comes to food, one strike and you're out.

About once a year my family gets a craving for KFC. Then we get it and I remember how mediocre it is and put off any further requests for about 12 months. I find that a good diner will have really good southern fried chicken, but there aren't actually too many around here that I'm happy with. So I just don't eat much fried chicken, which is probably for the best.
