Prince is as badass as they say... proof.

I saw Prince in one of his "special" shows last year during that club tour. An insane experience. Long story short, found this cool link tonight. Not from the shows, but still special.

Enjoy.

It has a good portion of 1980's Prince in it. Still love The Time's Icecream Castles version. Great to hear America again. Had that cassette and wore it out.

I was reading an interview with Jamie Foxx and he was recounting a story about the time he met Prince. He was a HUGE Prince fan so he was really nervous about meeting him, but ran into him backstage at the Grammy's or something like that. Jamie asks Prince if he can get a picture of the two of them together and Prince replies, "I don't really do stuff like that."

Jamie said at first he was really hurt, but then he thought, "Hey man, that's just Prince." :D

He won't take a picture, but he might make you pancakes?

Regarding his badass nature, everything you need to know is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame video for While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Absolutely ridiculous - and 11 years old!

Always loved Prince's music.

Seen him twice in concert. Once when he was doing his 1999 tour. Large venue tour. The many years later when he was doing the small venue tour. Saw him at a small club in Birmingham, both experiences were great.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

When I saw him, there was a strict no cameras rule.

About 4 songs into the show, (I'm about 12 feet away... hey it was a club show) he's playing a song, and he motions to his crew, then says in Prince's voice:

"Always gotta be some motherfucker that can't follow the rules"

Then, security comes and takes this couple out, who had wormed their way to the front. It was my friend and his girlfriend. Hilarious. I told him he missed a killer show. ;)

I love how at the end he throws his guitar into the air, and it just disappears. Because Prince.

I've watched it a dozen times or more in the last decade and I still have no idea where it goes. They should do a reunion performance on the same stage, have him come out and the guitar just drops from the ceiling.

Shame, if she had caught it herself I would have been forced to vote for her if she ran for POTUS.
