Do I have to slog thru the earlier seasons, I did watch season 1, or can I skip ahead to this season?

I was hate watching season 2 (15 episodes) and I'm on the fence. Hmm. I'll let someone else chime in but maybe see if there are recaps of each episode from season 2? I would think a 3 minute recap of each episode from season 2 might do.

You can probably skip it. The only things you need to know from S2 that may be confusing arestimpy wrote:Do I have to slog thru the earlier seasons, I did watch season 1, or can I skip ahead to this season?

Returning soon and there's hope season 4 will continue from the string season 3.

I've given up trying to assign the correct chronological order to TV shows and movies. It's just not possible.

I've never had the desire to watch this show. I think it's because I live in Florida. I'm surrounded by the walking dead already.

I've been curious about how they are going to do this as well. Even if they were in sync time wise, it would have to take Morgan a decent amount of time to get there..

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
It's been awhile since I can remember a show so strongly redeeming itself.
Like many of you, my wife and I hate watched Season 1 as well. I had completely abandoned the show but a co-worker swore to me to stick it out and that by the time I got to Season 3 I'd be back on board. He was right.
That said, my wife and I still don't like some of the characters and their decisions, but it's less hate and more "minor annoyance." Which is progress!

I surmise that Morgan's FTWD years will coincide with the seasons that he was not on TWD -- that is, after S1 and before whatever season they reintroduced him. That's the only way the timeline works unless FTWD really mashes the fast-forward button.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I haven't been watching FTWD since the end of season 2, but does it not take place on the west coast anymore? It's easy to explain the time gap if you consider how long it might take one person to cross the entire country with a few inevitable distractions along the way

FTWD is still out west, but as I understand it the first couple of seasons covered just a few months after the apocalypse.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
Yes. FTWD is smashing the fast forward button. They are synching with TWD. Which makes you wonder why have two shows at in the same timeline. But at this point I'm more intrigued with FTWD. Especially with Garrett Dillahunt coming on. Loved him since Sarah Connor Chronicles.Kraken wrote:I surmise that Morgan's FTWD years will coincide with the seasons that he was not on TWD -- that is, after S1 and before whatever season they reintroduced him. There was a time when all you had to do to get your Dillahunt fix was open your eyes. Then he kind of faded out for a while.

WTF was that?
This does not bode well. Even though I rather liked Dillahunt’s character.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
Having just watched Fear, all I could think was how great it would be if they just made a series where Morgan walks the Earth like Caine, getting into adventures. Each episode would end like the end of the Bixby Hulk episodes.

From what little I know about this season, this was just a setup episode. Onwards.

Apparently driven by the person requesting to be written out to be able to follow other projects. Did not see that coming at all.

Such developments are usually reserved for season enders. Didn't see it coming despite foreshadowing that became obvious with hindsight.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
Last night's episode might have been the best of either show in terms of structure and pacing.
In other news, is there any doubt that Madison is dead?
First of all, she's only appeared in flashbacks.
My guess is they're saving her death for either the mid-season or season finale.

They’re really making up for that season premiere. Framing this entire season as a mystery is working well for me.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I finally pieced together that everything with Madison is flash backs when they were talking to the reporter about how they got there. It was a Ah ha moment.

That would be a surprise.. Although, I really didn't see what the problem with them was. They weren't just taking their stuff, they gave them an offer to join.

EvilHomer3k wrote: ↑Fri May 11, 2018 1:02 amNot for my and my wife. The time jump plus the season of a bunch of flashbacks is just straight up annoying. It can work but they do it so poorly that it goes from what happened to WTF is going on now? I just don't think it works well in a weekly show and I've never thought TWD or FTWD have done it well. Every episode like that just annoys me. The flashbacks they have are usually filler that add little to the story and just seem to be there to pad the episode.
That sound of the spoon scraping over the can ribbing as you corral the last ravioli or two is the signal that a great treat is coming. It's the washboard solo in God's own

So I'm not sure if this happened to everyone but my showing they played a commercial by accident right when Naomi was about to explain where she came from. She said she was from and then it cut out. When it came back the black guy who I forget his name was upset about something and took the key.
