An e-mail solicitation with a nice photo banner of him and a write up of what happened. It's nicely done.

My wife got the e-mail today, too, but for some reason I didn't.

Thought Ethan might like Darya Folsom (local newscaster) and her day as a garbage collector.
The idea of changing careers is a thought that has probably occurred to most people at some time or another.

When the question was raised with KRON4 Morning News Anchor Darya Folsom, she said she wanted to be a garbage collector.

And a viewer gave her the chance.

Watch the above video to see Darya’s full job swap for a day.

He does it to get a reaction out of me, which he did as I got up from the stage with my hands in my face.
That's awesome.

Well done, Ethan.

Can you believe that today marks 1 year since he received his wish?

On August 19th we are meeting at the steps of the State Capitol to raise money for more wishes for children. If you would like to make a difference in someone's life, you can make an easy donation here...

Sounds exactly like him when has that young.

Ethan still has his name on the garbage truck. We've have had multiple sightings the last two years, and quite a few recently. Everytime I see a green Waste Management garbage truck, I'm always looking. He's not as big into garbage trucks lately, but it's something we will never forget.

So CARB (California Air Resources Board, my employer) has worked with TranspowerUSA on developing ZEV garbage trucks and other utility type trucks. Some of their prototypes made it's way to Sacramento for demonstration. They invited Ethan to test drive it for approval :)
