My weight has been remarkably stable since May. Higher than I'd like, but stable. I'm posting mostly to update my mileage these days.
In a couple of days it will be 13 years since I invented walking. I conservatively estimate that I average 600 miles a year for somewhere around 7,800 miles altogether. That's the distance between Boston and Johannesburg. I've worn out at least 15 pairs of shoes, two knees, and one hip.
The downside is that walking only helped me lose weight for the first year or two. Since then, my body has "priced in" that energy expenditure, and now I have to keep it up just to avoid gaining weight.
