Hahaha....that movie was great. He is hardly recognizable to me as the blue hair in Terminator. Back then he was a nobody to me so I always forget that role.

If you've never checked out FRAILTY, now would be a great time to do so. It's one of his few directing credits, and he also stars in it. Vastly underrated horror/thriller.
Agreed on all counts. He was awesome and in a bunch of my favorite films.
Frailty is one of the few DVDs I kept when I purged all my non digital media. Just an extremely well made film all around from writing, acting, directing and camera work. It's haunting and sticks with you. I'm really surprised he did not go on to direct more after his first foray with Frailty, he really nailed it.

Re: RIP, Bill Paxton.
Somewhat coincidentally, I did not know Paxton was in the Terminator until recently. While watching the Terminator (it just happened to be on, so I stopped surfing) with my son, I was like "is that...it is, That's Paxton"Daehawk wrote:Hahaha....that movie was great. So I didn't even know he was in the movie until about 2 weeks ago.

If you think that spot was obscure, you can also find him in a very short scene in the "Ahnold" classic, Commando.
Also, a quick spot in Next of Kin.

That was one of the first things I thought of when remembering his movie roles.

Re: RIP, Bill Paxton.
Saw online it was a heart valve replacement surgery and a aortic aneurysm repair he went in for. From what I gathered he had the surgery on Feb 14th and died in the hospital from a stroke Feb 24. Im not sure there were surgical complications or not. 10 days later.
I saw a pic of him at an awards show Feb 11 and looked fine.
EDIT: Someone who knew him said he was out of school almost his entire 7th grade with Rheumatic Fever. This is what it says online.....

Rheumatic fever is a bacterial infection that can cause problems with the heart's aortic and mitral valves. Rheumatic fever is caused by certain strains of streptococcal bacteria. A strep throat infection that isn't properly treated can trigger rheumatic fever. Rheumatic fever can damage heart muscle and heart valves.

Bah. Just stumbled across this thread again and the reality hit home, again.
Really liked his work. Wonder how many more times I'm gonna suddenly realize there won't be any new Bill Paxton in my entertainment.
