If asked to name 10 of my favorite movies, Paxton's name will appear in more than one's credits. RIP to one of the greats.

TMZ reporting that it was a post-op stroke following heart surgery.

People
PEOPLE has an exclusive sneak peek clip from the first episode of the new series, which premieres Thursday, and Paxton is particularly excited for fans to see him work with [his son] James, who recently costarred on the USA thriller Eye Witness.

James “plays the son in a father-son robbery team,” says Paxton, who also has a daughter Lydia, 19, with his wife Louise. “And my character, whose dad was also a criminal, tells him, ‘We’re both our father’s sons, but that doesn’t have to define us.’ It was surreal saying that to him.”
It's almost as if people are the problem.

I wish CNN would drop "star of Twister" from the headline announcing his death. I know it made a ton of cash, but sheesh.

I need to watch A Simple Plan again.

First movie I think of when I think of him is Apollo 13...one of my favorites of all time. I never thought he had great acting chops, personally, but he was in some awesome films.

I'll always remember him as the punk giving him his clothes in Terminator. So many things Cameron took from Terminator to use in Aliens...Paxton was one of them. Rest in piece :(

+1. He had one of those background-type faces, not instantly recognizable -- I had to google him to remember what he looked like -- yet his name comes up in the credits of a surprising number of films that I've seen.

He was always great. It's hard for me to pick a favorite work of his. Near Dark maybe, I can't imagine anyone else doing that role in that way and making it work that good.

This one really bummed me out. He was one of those actors that was seemingly in everything, and always good.

If you've never checked out FRAILTY, now would be a great time to do so. It's one of his few directing credits, and he also stars in it. Vastly underrated horror/thriller.

One of the great things about him was his ability to play the everyman. He just comes off as a completely normal guy in most of his roles, which is one reason why Frailty was great, as it plays off of that. A Simple Plan, Apollo 13, His work for James Cameron, so many great roles, not to mention he had a reputation for being a nice, down to earth guy. This just sucks that he's gone.

I used to always say that he died in almost every movie was in.
One day out of curiosity, I pulled his IMDB list and went through his list of credits.
At the time, it turned out he lived in slightly over half of his credits which surprised me.

He's one of only two guys to get knocked off by the big three though, Terminator, Predator, and Aliens.

The other, of course, being Lance Henrickson whom he also died alongside of in Near Dark.

Game over man! Game over!

Come on nobody??

Loved the guy. I remember him as Chet..so funny.

I just saw the cast together from Aliens on YouTube where they appeared on Today or something. He looked the best of them all. People in the comments even said he looked the same compared to the others.

Damnit. Thats scary. My wife had heart surgery. Anything can happen and it sucks. Love ya Bill!

RIP to a good man.
