Google knows everything about you?

Lately I noticed that google seem to know a lot about me. Like what I bought recently from tokopedia, a local online shopping sites but what most scary to me is that when I installed Google Trips on my phone.

Opening it the first time, it showed all my previous travels and my planned vacation next month. How did google know that? Does google get information from online shopping sites. Does google get information from airlines? Or google spies on me by reading all my e-mail and find out about my travel plans from there? Found out what I bought from the invoices e-mail from the shopping sites?

Yeah. I read that after I was over my initial shock that Google is spying on me.

So far seem like this is a good thing. Make it easier to start using Google Trips but too bad it can't spy on me offline. My offline booking of a hotel room and short travel to another vacation spot during my trip was not tracked so has to enter that manually.

I guess I need to remember not to use gmail to subscribe to porn sites.

If you have the hotel send you confirmation emails to your Gmail account, Google will then know.

Also, sub to porn sites? With all the free content out there, why would you ever pay? I guess maybe if you have specific needs, but I never equated you with hepcat.
