A new hip.

Aging sucks :(
I spent 90% of the money I made on women, booze, and drugs. The other 10% I just pissed away.

My dad got a new hip yesterday morning! Surgery went well.

He's 77, though.

I got a new knee a couple of months ago. When I told my physical therapist that my hip was hurting worse than my knee she said "Oh, well, recovering from a total hip is a snap compared to knee." So there's that.

For right now the dr. wants to try cortisone injections along with anti-inflammatories and physical therapy, but hip replacement is definitely in my future, some time before the end of the year.

I'd hope the PTs would learn to avoid using that phrase with their elderly patients.

A sandbox.

What kind of warranty are they giving you on that hip? Is it a 5 year (go cheap, he ain't gonna last that long) or 20?

For a 65 year old with everything, rather than an object, you could give an experience. He may have everything he needs or wants, but he probably hasn't done everything.
