Ric Flair hospitalized

Post by Isgrimnur »

ESPN
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has been placed into a medically-induced coma while he awaits surgery, a WWE representative confirmed to ESPN.com Monday afternoon.

Flair was hospitalized and admitted to an intensive care unit over the weekend, and after initially downplaying the seriousness of the issue, a representative for Flair has made a plea for public support.

Melinda Morris Zanoni, the CEO of Legacy Talent LLC, tweeted out the latest on Flair's situation late Sunday night.

As first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Flair was hospitalized on Saturday morning for heart-related issues, with Zanoni initially reporting the situation involved "routine monitoring." PW Insider's Mike Johnson reported that Flair is hospitalized near his home in Atlanta.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

It doesn't seem all that long ago I was a kid and watching him and the rest on the weekend at my dad's. Everyone at the top of their game and fun times. Now I feel old and they are old. And when I sit and think its been 30 years since 1987 and these were a few years before that even. Time.

Ric Flair remains in critical condition after he underwent surgery on Monday for a colon-related issue. The WWE Hall of Famer underwent the surgery to remove a blockage according to the Wrestling Observer, which had led to a number of other health issues that included kidney failure.

Flair was placed into a medically-induced coma on Monday after being hospitalized on Saturday. The surgery that he underwent was a success, but the other health issues that popped up as a result of the blockage are still a concern. Flair is on kidney dialysis currently so doctors can get the organs functioning again.
