Literally the morning after that surgery my function was 82%. I cried like a baby when they said that; I hadn’t seen function like that in decades.

I don’t actually know if it’s typical. They always tell me I’m doing amazingly well so maybe it’s better than average. I don’t do much research because medical stuff on the internet can freak me out, and I’m incredibly self absorbed...I live in a bubble of how well it’s going for me, that’s what I need to know.

MHS I'm pulling for you. You're in a great struggle and seem to be doing far better then I would in the same situation.

I read that Bad Art Friend story after it blew up on Twitter last week and both the donor and the short story writer came off terribly.

Interesting timing. It was exactly 4 years ago today that I received notification that I was progressed enough i my kidney failure to be officially eligible for transplant.
