Counterpart, A parallel world spy thriller
This is the first Ive heard of this but I found a trailer for a new series coming on Starz, called Counterpart. It stars J.K. Simmons and looks quite intriguing.
Well do you ever get the feeling that the story's too damn real and in the present tense?
Or that everybody's on the stage and it seems like you're the only person sitting in the audience?

It's up to episode 5 now. Anyone watching and want to report in? I need to get Starz back at some point to continue my Star Trek films watching, and a recommendation as to whether or not to ignore all the Amazon/Netflix/HBO content that I have access to would be helpful.

We've been watching and enjoying it, although there are things going on that the characters are still trying to figure out and... so are we. And dang but J.K. Simmons does one hell of a job playing very different two versions of the same character. Very much a Cold War / espionage / spy type thriller with a parallel dimension (singular) twist.

The episode that covered the creation and discovery of the two worlds was some powerful TV. I love the show and keep up with it, but I was starting to feel like some of the stories were forced for the sake of longevity. This may have been better as a mini series with movie length episodes.
He won. Period.
